Here are just a few of the many many places you can finish your ride…
How do I plan and book a Day Ride?
Contact us with the dates you require, give us a little bit of insight into your riding history and your
aims for the day. We will put together a selection of sample route options to suit your requirements.
From here we can work together to refine the route and plan your perfect day.
Take a look at our Local Climbs list and Points of Interest and tell us if there is somewhere in
particular that you would like us to take you.
Access to longer routes and further away places as well as having the luxury of the support bus always being on hand for water, energy top ups and clothing adjustments it also serves as your lift home. There is a huge abundance of beautiful riding, well known Tour de France climbs, quiet villages and ancient towns just that little bit too far out of reach for a normal days riding from Morzine. Our point to point rides are designed specifically to allow you travel that bit further and to make the most of the incredible variety of riding and cultural highlights available in the area.
Stress free riding
No need to study maps before or during your ride, keep the day flowing by letting us take care of the routes, refreshments and lunch stops. We can also supply you with TCX files for your Garmin or other devices.
Our support vehicle carries a comprehensive range of spares and tools so we can fix most problems at the side of the road. There is always a professionally qualified Mechanic on every ride.
Stopping at restaurants can be time consuming and the food, although very nice, is rarely suitable for a mid ride top up. We provide well considered and tasty picnic lunches that will leave you feeling re energised but comfortable back on your bike. (Dietary requirements can be catered for
with prior notice)
Access to clothing

Cross boarders and sample the velvet smooth roads of switzerland or the coffee and culinary delights of Italy.
I can’t recommend Tony enough. Brilliant 110km tour including two tough climbs. Tony sorted a great road bike and accompanied the group in a van, sorting drink, gels and an excellent lunch. Brilliant organisation of the whole day, picked us up and dropped back to the chalet.
Tony organised a great day riding from Morzine to Annecy. Nothing was too much trouble. As much food an drink as you could manage. The tour guides managed to cater for all abilities and everyone was made to feel really welcome. Highlight of the holiday. Thanks to Tony and his team
Tony and the guys provided a first rate and very friendly service. Could not be more helpful – provided great lunch and nice added touches like the photography along the route to have a reminder of a great day out. I did single day out from Morzine to Annecy.
‘Your desire to give everything possible to your customers is evident from the airport pick up, right through until the end of the trip. You have without doubt given me some of the greatest cycling memories of my life’
‘I have used Mark and his Velovation team on three occasions. Once was on the ‘Big One’ with some friends, the second time was when Velovation organised a corporate event for me and some 40 or so clients out of Morzine and the following year Le Clusaz.
All events were expertly organised with great riding and epic mountains. We have used Velovation since for additional corporate events.
I would recommend and I will be using them again in the future for any cycling trips to the Alps.’
‘I did a number of cycling breaks with Velovation in Morzine with groups of friends.
The first thing that struck me about the guys was how organised they were. Local routes were laid out and discussed with gradients and a plan for the day explained.
The guys knew the all the best local roads to avoid too much traffic. Having the Velovation support van is a real benefit, firstly to carry all that wet weather gear and food you never think you’ll need, and secondly to enable you to explore much further afield into Italy and Switzerland. Mark is a great group leader, able to let people ride at their own pace, ride hard on the front when wanted and to encourage a group up a massively hard 30Km climb!
I’d rate them second to none in the Alps.’
‘Riding with Velovation through the Alps over the last three years could not have been better.
The routes planned by Velovation were spectacular; and ascending and descending the iconic climbs was thrilling. One would expect this type of experience when riding in the Alps.
However, Velovation enhanced that experience. For Mark and his team nothing is too much trouble. All needs and eventualities are carefully planned and catered for. Attention to detail is everything and Mark makes full use of his experience to deliver a great package for all his customers. From the choice of roads to ride, the abilities of a mixed bunch of cyclists, the range of food to feast on, the places to stay in, Velovation get it right every time.’
Kent Velo Girls is a cycle club based in Hildenborough, Kent. As a change from tackling the local hills, a group of 8 of us hired two chalets in Morzine for 5 nights and set about planning an alpine cycling challenge. As a result of a personal recommendation we employed the services of Mark and Tony at Velovation to lead and support two of our rides. During the planning process they gave us a number of alternative routes with a variety of destinations, elevations and distances. We chose a route from Morzine to Annecy on one day and to Lake Geneva on another. We all enjoyed the luxury of Velovation’s support; routes chosen along the quietest and most scenic roads, pit stops with delicious food and a vehicle in which to carry extra layers for the chilly downhill sections. Mark and Tony supported us with a quiet confidence, expertly judging our pace and ensuring everyone within the group arrived in one piece with a smile on their face. They were fun company, extremely thoughtful and we look forward to embarking on another challenge using their services next year.”
