Morzine cycling

Our fantastic location in Morzine means that we are perfectly placed for the final two stages in the Alps in this, the 100th Tour de France.  The centenary of this French treasure will be celebrated across the country and will be a spectacle not to be missed.

We have created a package that will satisfy the most ardent Tour de France fans and cyclists alike.

Wednesday 17th July

Fly out to Geneva where we will pick you and your bikes up, take you to our fabulous chalet accommodation in the centre of Morzine and provide you with a delicious 3 course evening meal.

Thursday 18th July

Warm up day.  Following a good breakfast we will set out to explore some of the local climbs made famous by previous Tour de France stages.  Right on our doorstep are infamous climbs like the Col de Joux Plane, Col de Corbiere and the Colombiere all of which have seen their fair share of Tour victories and break downs!  All this to be followed by the Tour highlights at home by the fire with a 3 course meal.

Friday 19th July

Tour Stage 19 Bourg-d’Oisans / Le Grand-Bornand

Today we will set off early and ride over in time to see the finish at Le Grand-Bornand and of course pick up all the Tour schwag thrown from the procession.  A picnic lunch will be provided along the way from the support vehicle.  The route will be about 100km long and we will include some tough climbs as we wind our way over mountains and through valleys to meet the Tour.  Our route will be confirmed once the times and route descriptions are detailed by the Tour organisers.  After all the excitement the minibus will transport us back to the chalet where the evening meal will be waiting.

Saturday 20th July

Tour Stage 20 Annecy > Annecy – Semnoz

Again once the Tour details are released we will have a better idea of what today will hold, but remember that this is our playground and we know all the cheeky backroads and the best routes to get us either to or from Annecy today. We will set up in a good spot to watch/photograph as the peloton makes its way around the most beautiful lake in the region before they head up the climb to Semnoz.  Either by motor or steam we will head back to Morzine and an evening meal.

Sunday 21st July

Tour Stage 21 Versailles > Paris Champs-Élysées

This stage is taking place later in the day so that the big finish at the Champs-Élysées can be accompanied by a no-doubt spectacular fire-works display.  Now fully inspired by having been close enough to the Tour riders to smell their sweat we can with renewed energy tackle some more of the local climbs.  Finishing back at the chalet to watch the final stage of the 100th Tour de France (and hopefully another triumph for English sport!!)

Monday 22nd July

Depending on your flight times we can either ride in the morning or just take you straight back to the airport for your flight home.
