This weekend comprises of 2 big days, perfect for training or just to challenge yourself with some quality Alpine cycling. With the added bonus of incredible views of Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc massif

Friday

Arrive at Geneva airport.  We will pick you up and take you to your accommodation where a delicious evening meal will be provided and you will receive maps and information for the next couple of days riding.

Saturday-128km, 4 cols, 2594m gain

After breakfast we set off.  At 6km with a height gain of 517m the Col de Corbier will be the warm up for the day, a steep climb and twisty with a beautiful view of Lake Geneva from the top.  On to the Pas-de-Morgins, 14km and a gentler climb used in the Tour de France 3 times as a route from France through to Switzerland.  From here we head up to the Col de la Forclaz, a regular Tour climb, with a tough and unremitting gradient (ave. 7 .9%).  Via the Col de Montets the descent takes us down into the Chamonix valley, with the exceptional views of the Mont Blanc massif and the hotel where an evening meal will be provided.

Sunday- 94.06km, 1749m gain

Following a good breakfast we head off back to Morzine, a slightly shorter day but not without its climbs.  We start with a gentle ascent to Les Houches and a winding technical descent down and along the stunning Chamonix Valley.  Up through Cluses and a small climb through the village of Chatillon takes us into the Vallee Verte and to the foot of the classic Tour climb  of the Col de Joux-Plane, winding up from Samoens this category 1 11.8km climb is known for its tough hairpin bends and treacherous section of 13% at 6km.  When you can see the reflection of Mont Blanc shimmering in the mountain top lake you can then relax, destination achieved.  From here it is a fast yet technical descent back to Morzine and a shower before we take you back to the airport to catch your flight home.
